Once a year hair stylists get the opportunity to enter into the WELLA TREND VISION AWARDS. Its a big thing with lots of prep and many entries.
When it comes time to announce the winners there is a very special evening that’s curated and excecuted with precision and joy, by Modern Hair. It’s full of amazing talent and much laughter, love and loudness… (Live Laugh Loud) An entertaining bonus this year was that our very own Andrew of Running With Scissors was Mc’ing the event with Carla of Haus of Klue.
Have a look at Lourens’s winning pic of his beautiful client Cleo. These were submitted for the competition some time ago and it was only as the night progressed that we all realised that he had become the NTVA Editorial Visionary Gold Winner for the National Trend Vision Awards.
This is a big deal, not only did he win GOLD here in SA – he has now earned the chance to represent South Africa at the International TrendVision Awards (ITVA) for the Global Gold Title !
We are so proud of our SloRinse™️ – taking South African hair flava to the world stage! Cant wait to see him in the next round!

This was just a quick shout out to this talented stylist who has blown us away this year. He is hard working, level headed, obviously a hair genius and an absolute pleasure to work with and adore! Look out for his next escapade in one of our upcoming blogs (we just churn them out! ) him and Vee are nearly mid flight back from Finland where they have been for the last week for education. Lourens is on a roll and we love to see it!
