Born in Johannesburg, Derrick says his earliest childhood memory is of going to a salon with his Grandmother. (I mean!?)

He moved to Pietermaritzburg at age 9 and promptly started working in a salon straight after Matric putting himself through college while working. Clearly that first memory was impactful and his dedication to making this dream happen is a testimony to his strong character.

Fast forward to the present day – when Derrick got the opportunity to move to Cape Town he took it! And we couldn’t be happier! He has slotted into the scar team like a casual dream.

He has been in industry for 19 years.

He is an all round stylist who is always up for a challenge. (A wonderful trait) He also walks with a relaxed and calm gait.

He enjoys creating movement in hair be it in cutting or blow drying, bobs, creative upstyling.
